Hi guys! Thanks for visiting our little piece of the internet, we really do appreciate it. We’re The Sailing Nomads motley crew. In a nutshell, we’re Kath & T, a British couple from Manchester, who left our jobs, sold-up and in pursuit of a different lifestyle, embarked on a dream – to sail around the world.
Whilst Kath learned to sail growing up, T had no previous sailing experience. Needless to say, this had to change quite quickly! So with a couple of sailing courses, a heavy dose of motivation and a love of s/v Caladh at first sight, the dream was soon shared.
Make no mistake though… we have absolutely no idea how this is going to go. However, in the spirit of entertainment, we’re going to have a go at documenting the adventure as we go, and in doing so, hope to take you with us.
What we do know, is this is not a holiday. It’s not a sabbatical, a gap-year, a year-out, or a career-break… nor are we retiring! Far from. For us, this is about having a go at a different kind of life. A different working-life, travelling-life, family-life, healthy-life, a spending-quality-time-with-people-we-love-life. Not to mention, a life at sea!
We’ll do our best to share the highs, lows and everything in-between, through our log, videos and social channels.
